Tripura BJP vice-president, Subal Bhowmick said Shah will arriving here by December 15 and Modi will visit the state after declaration of the poll schedule. The PM will campaign for BJP in two phases but the schedule has not been finalized yet, he said.
The decision to go for extensive campaign was taken in the state core committee meeting attended by the party's national general secretary, Ram Madhav, central observer Sunil Deodhar and state party president Biplab Deb on Monday.
BJP will start its poll campaign in the state from November one with rallies and pada yatras in the constituency and state leves, he said.
Bhowmick said in the 2013 assembly election in the state around 49,000 fake names of voters were included in the final electoral rolls and BJP has conveyed its concern over it to the chief electoral officer Sriram Tarunikanta. "We are careful this time to ensure error-free electoral rolls." (PTI)
