Bagdogra: CSJ comes forward for cleanliness drive

After failure of the local administration in keeping the area clean the social organisation named Chetnashil Sangrashrat Jamat (CSJ) of Bagdogra came forward to start the cleanliness drive and to stop spreading deadly diseases including dengue, malaria and others.
CJS members on Wednesday early morning gathered at Upper Bagdogra to clean the garbage dumped around bus stand. The members with the support of National Human Rights & Crime Control organisation, Bagdogra wing collected money to buy gloves, bleaching powder, phenol and fare of tractor to carry the garbage away.
CJS convener Sandeep Lama said, “Our aim is to keep the environment clean, sensitize people about our culture, heritage, and guide students to walk in right path.”
Local resident Ashok Biswakarma informed that local panchayat failed to keep the area clean and also the people staying around including shop owner does not have sense of humour before throwing the waste product on the highway. He appreciated the work done by CJS.
