Govt and NGO join hands to empower women

Training concluded of 25 women in Bagdogra

District Industries Centre, Siliguri with the support of Bagdogra Paradrishti Society helped 25 underprivileged women to become self empowerment through government’s   Entrepreneurship Development Programme.
Twenty-five women all residents under Naxalbari block on Wednesday received certificates after completion of two months rigorous training on tailoring, fashion designing and skill development at Bagdogra.
Fashion designer Alka Sharma founder of Paradristhi Society, Bagdogra said that government’s programme for women is helping a lot to become self reliant and they are now earning at my production house.
Raj Basu, convener Help Tourism said, “Various new techniques with innovative ideas can be used to produce items by mixing it with different traditions so that it can be example for even big manufacturing companies. I suggest the women who have completed the training and bagged certificates to continue with their work so that they can help the family run in more better way.”
Gautam Chaudhery, officer-in charge DIC informed that if the women are dedicated and will continue their work the DIC Siliguri will support with all equipments and other necessary assistance. 
Bibha Biswakarma, Pradhan, Lower Bagdogra Gram Panchayat, Diwakari Chhetri, President of Chenga Nari Sewa Samity and other dignitaries were present during the certificate distribution programme.
