Diabetes patient commits suicide

A 45 year resident of RPRS Tsunami shelters here committed suicide on Monday. According to sources, the deceased was depressed over prolonged illness and took the extreme step by hanging himself at his residence at around 8 am yesterday. The Campbell Bay Police have registered a case of unnatural death and further investigation is underway.
According to information, the deceased, Chandan Badak, was ailing from diabetes and had recently undergone treatment at GB Pant Hospital. At around 8 am on Monday, he hanged himself from the ceiling fan of his bedroom when his children were out for school and spouse was busy in household works. In the statement to the police, wife of the deceased said that her husband was extremely upset over his illness and the hardships being caused to the family due to the expenditure being incurred for the treatment.
