Youth Leadership training at Campbell Bay

Nehru Yuva Kendra, organised a three-day training programme on Youth Leadership and Community Development recently at Recreation Hall, Kamal Basti where 40 youths participated. Mr. D. Jayaraman, Panchayat Samity member was the chief guest whereas Mr. K. Raja, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Campbell Bay and Ms. Rosaliya Kullu, Gram panchayat Govind nagar were the guests of honour. Up-Padhan Mr. Emmanuel and   PRI members were also present. The chief guest stressed on reactivation of youth clubs of Campbell Bay for local development as youth have potential to assume responsibility and take lead in addressing village issues by being catalysts for development. Mr. Raja and Ms. Kullu agreed that such programmes will unite youth to share their experiences, exchange ideas and take up community and Nation Building activities.
Eminent resource persons interacted with youth on the issues of patriotism, moral values, character building, respect for women, national security and integrity, computer literacy, social media and cyber laws and crime. Subjects like youth club formation, community development, life skill, soft skill, leadership skill, communication skill was covered by Mr. R.K Shahi, PGT, Mr. D. David, PGT, Mr. Sanker Kumar Bhoi, Technical Assistant, MGNEREGA, Inspector Vishal Ram, SHO C/Bay and Mr. Rahul Singh, BE Civil. NYKS officials Mr. Joseph John DYC and Mr. Gopal Ch. Biswas, Accountant also spoke on relevant topics.
An excursion covering 35 kms, interacting with of Laxmi Nagar on various issues to development of these islands through tourism, internet and good transportation facility for the islanders was conducted Mr. Gopal Ch. Biswas proposed the vote of thanks.
