Chief Minister Pawan Chamling today come down heavily on the Centre alleging that it was being denied its dues from the Centre and it caused severe humiliation to the state.
The chief minister made this comment during his address at a function to celebrate the 24th anniversary of the state government run by his party Sikkim Democratic Front held at Saramsa, near Gangtok.
``We are a peaceful state, we have not given any tension to the Centre. Still we are facing humiliation as our grants are being slashed. But  we have not complained. We are neglected. We have only one MP in each of the houses of Parliament. PM Narendra Modi visited our state twice, we have placed our demands before him but in vain,'' Chamling said.
