Differently abled boy dies in Gangtok house fire

A 16-year-old differently abled boy died at Jalipool on the outskirts of Gangtok on Thursday morning when a  fire broke out in a rented room of a five-storied building.   At about 11 a.m. the Gangtok fire station received a call informing about the fire. The fire station crew immediately rushed to the site and doused the flame by spraying water. The fire was already under control, Fire Station Officer Mathew Rai said. The boy, Umesh Mangar, was reportedly alone in the room when the incident occurred, he said. He died on way to hospital in Manipal.
