Red Panda Winter Carnival 2019 starts with cultural fervour

Te  much awaited tourist festival of Sikkim, Red Panda Winter Carnival Sikkim started today with cultural fervour. State Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Ugen T Gyatso Bhutia declared the event open after releasing dove and beating of Chabrung (Traditional Drum).
Today's inauguration function also saw the Snow Lion dance, Dropa Drodung( Drum Dance) and other traditional dances. Earlier mass yoga and meditation was also performed. In the coming three days there will be many events like film festival, DJ nite, food stalls, cultural programmes and many more. Keeping the festival in mind the authority has also given  discounts at  restaurants.
State Minister for Tourism Ugen T Gyatso Bhutia addressing the media said 'even though this year's Carnival is not big as it was in the previous years there are many things to explore this season and more interestingly that discounts were provided in local selected hotels.  Meanwhile  State Tourism Minister Ugen T Gyatso Bhutia while taking to the media on the sidelines attacked the opposition heavily on alliance talk between SKM and HS party and said 'Big Bull fights alone. `` 'Tiger hunts alone and ants get together','' the minister said.
