The completion of 24 years of the Sikkim Democratic Front Government will be celebrated tomorrow statewide. This was announced today by K. T. Gyaltshen, spokesman and legal advisor to Chief Minister Pawan Chamling.
The celebration  will be held in each gram pancahyat, said Gyaltshen.  SDF is celebrating the day as Janta Raj Staphna Diwas ( People'e Rule Formation Day).
Gyaltshen who addressed a press conference today, said the SDF which came to power amidst a democratic crisis in Sikkim has worked for the people of Sikkim. ``But  there are still demands like seat reservations for Limboo Tamang community and tribal status for the 11 leftout community. But it is under Union list. (Only the Centre can make a legislation on this.). Otherwise we have done everything for the state,'' the senior official said.
He also said that it was because of policies and vision of CM Pawan Chamling that they had been able to rule the state for such a long time. " We are 100 per cent sure that we will form the government once again and will fight the elections alone without alliance.''
