SDF to reach first time voters with catch line `My first vote for Chamling’

The ruling Sikkim Democratic Front for the last 24 years has come up with a new catch line for its campaign for this year’s assembly and parliamentary elections: 'My first vote for Chamling'.
``We are targeting first time voters and we hope this catch line will rope in a lot of them. We are making elaborate plans to make it a success,’’ said Prashant Chettri, Publicity Secretary, SDF South Sikkim unit.
Covering 32 constituencies, members of the SDF youth wing will execute their campaign in the next one month before election.
For this campaign, the SDF has identified 67 thousand new voters who have turned 18 and are now eligible to vote.
Apart from this campaign, SDF has also started campaigning at constituency level which has been named 'connect future - youth are the builders of Tomorrow's Society which will be organised by SDF's District Working Committe, South Sikkim. Connect Future programme enlightens about the Chief Minister's Start up Scheme and many other youth oriented programmes of SDF government.
SDF is also organising various public outreach programmes in various administrative levels.
Similarly the argest opposition party in the state Sikkim Krantikari Morcha has organised Parivartan Sankalpa Yatra and various village level meetings as part of its campaign for the elections.
