Supplementary demand for Rs 280 crore placed in Sikkim assembly

A supplementary demand for grants for 2018-19 for gross additional expenditure of about Rs 280 crore was placed in the Sikkim assembly on Wednesday. This included a demand for grant of Rs 201 crore on revenue account and Rs 78 crore on capital account.
In course of legislative business of the House, five Bills were introduced by the concerned departmental Ministers. Health Care, Human Services and Family Welfare Minister A. K. Ghatani introduced the Sikkim Anti Drugs (Amendment) Bill, Forest and Environment and Wildlife Management Minister Tshering Wangdi Lepcha introduced the Sikkim Wildlife Protection (Amendment) Bill and Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister R. B. Subba introduced the Sikkim Lokayukta (Amendment) Bill. Chief Minister Pawan Chamling introduced the Sikkim Goods and Service Tax (Amendment) Bill and the Sikkim Regulation of Transfer of Land (Amendment) Bill. (EOIC)
