Haldia Refinery celebrates Independence Day

Haldia Refinery celebrated 71st Independence Day at Sector-11 Stadium.  C K Tiwari, executive director, Haldia Refinery unfurled the National Tricolour on August 15. The National Anthem was sung by a chorus group consisting of children of Kendriya Vidyalaya.
The chief guest inspected the 11 platoons consisting of CISF, DGR, Kendriya Vidyalaya – Boys, Girls, Scouts, Flute & Lezium and Band, St. Xaviers Schools – Boys & Girls, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Schools – Boys & Girls. The platoons presented a march past saluting the National Tricolour. Tiwari addressed the large gathering of Haldia Refinery family and stakeholders on this occasion. The New India Pledge – “Sankalp se Siddhi” was administered to the entire gathering and audience by Tiwari.
Colorful tri-color balloons and pigeons were released by Dignitaries. Prizes and Awards were presented under various categories by the Chief Guest and dignitaries. Winners of Good Housekeeping Contest and Best Platoon performance were felicitated. On this occasion “Pratibha Samman-2017” was awarded to two individuals for individual contribution.
