Fourth edition of Arunachal fest gets underway

The picturesque town of Dambuk woke up to the revving up of high class off-roading vehicles and the sound of music as the fourth edition of Orange Festival Of Adventure And Music (OFAM) got underway. The three-day festival is being hosted in Dambuk in Arunachal Pradesh's Lower Dibang Valley. The festival offers an amalgamation of music and adventure sports to fans.
It was inaugurated by local MLA Gum Tayeng and JK Tyres marketing director Vikram Malhotra. The duo later flagged off the JK Tyre Orange 4X4 Fury rally race, the main event at the festival. The inauguration ceremony also witnessed the traditional Topu War Dance of the Adi tribe and daredevil stunts by ace biker Gaurav Khatri.
The 4th Edition will showcase some remarkable Indian talents like Thermal and A Quarter, The F16s, Fiddler's Green, Uday Benegal, When Chai Met Toast, Feyago, Rain In Sahara along with the Alternative Rock band -- Five Eight from Athens, Georgia. The main attraction of the festival is seven-time Grammy nominated German electronic band Tangerine Dream. Founded in 1967, the bands from West Berlin are considered to be a pioneering act in electronic music with over 140 albums and DVDs.
Richie Kotzen is another prominent name in the music, who will headline the festival. From playing in bands like Poison, Mr. Big and Winery Dogs to a prolific solo career, Kotzen has had a prolific career as a musician. (PTI)
