Nepal hit by moderate earthquake

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale was felt in Darchula in far-west Nepal, and the surrounding districts on Sunday afternoon, creating panic among the residents.  The epicenter of the earthquake was Khela in the Indian state of Uttarakhand that occurred at 12.52 pm, the Seismological Department of Nepal said.
Khela is some 16 kilometres south from Khalanga, the headquarters of Darchula district.
