Commendable services of Metro RPF and station staff

On December 20 at about 5.30 pm at Rabindra Sadan station on duty RPF staff rescued a boy child about 7 years old who was found roaming hopelessly on mezzanine floor of the station. On interrogating the boy, it was learnt that he was separated from his relative. The boy’s guardian was contacted and informed through a mobile number which the boy gave. The child was later handed over to his guardian. Another such incident occurred on the next day.
On December 21 at about 4.10 pm information was received at Rabindra Sadan station from a person that his relative had entered the Rabindra Sadan Metro station with an intention to commit suicide. Immediately, the station master, Rabindra Sadan along with on duty RPF striking force conducted a thorough search in the platform area. At about 4.15 pm they detected a boy at the platform who matched the description received from the caller. He was brought to the station master’s office and was handed over to his parents in the presence of SI, Bhowanipur Police Station.
On December 22 at about 11:30 am information was received at Jatin Das Park Metro station through central control, Metro Railway that a girl child about 8 years old was separated from her mother in a down Metro train at Netaji Bhavan Metro station.  Immediately, the on duty RPF staff attended the down metro train and rescued the child from the down train at Jatin Das Park Station at 11:33 pm with the co-operation of the passengers and brought her to station master’s office after which the rescued child was handed over to her mother.
