ER GM highlights provisions sanctioned under Budget

Eastern Railway General Manager, Ghanshyam Singh today highlighted the provisions sanctioned in the current budget.
Sanctioned In the Budget 2017-18:
* Preliminary survey has been sanctioned for new lines of 138 Kms,. from Sagar Port-Kashinagar-Kulpi-Gurudas Nagar-Bakrahat-Chakgopalpur-Nungi-Majerhat-Khidderpore-Shalimar-Santragachi-Dankuni.
* 30 manned level crossing gates (Malda-17, Asansol-13) will be upgraded to provide better safety features - cost Rs.23.36 crores
* New ROB wili be constructed in lieu of manned LC gates No. 9/Spl. at Ambika Kalna station - cost Rs. 19.60 crores.
* Bridge No. 17/A ( Jalangi bridge) nearKrishnanagar will be rebuilt at up line - cost Rs.53.13 crores.
* For safe passing of flood water between Sahibganj-Kiul, 21  additional Railway bridges will be constructed -"cost Rs. 18.60 crores.
*For stations  over  Howrah  Division, .LED  lights will  be  provided  at  a  cost of Rs,;4i85 crores for saving energy.-   Over Eastern Rly.,  150 stations have been provided with LED luminaries.
*LHB   coach   maintenance   facility   will   be   developed   at   Bhagalpur   -   cost Rs.27.50 crores.
* Bamungachi Loco Shed will be expanded to handle. 130 loco motives (presently 100 locomotives) - cost Rs. 15.44 crores. (EOIC)
