ER observes Vigilance Awareness Week

Harindra Rao, General Manager, Eastern Railway in presence of Shri U. K. Bal, Senior Deputy General Manager, Eastern Railway administered the integrity pledge this morning (30.10.2017) on the occasion of observance of Vigilance Awareness Week (30 October to 4 November, 2017) at Eastern Railways’ Headquarters, Fairlie Place.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rao said that corruption is one of the major obstacles to economic, political & social progress of our country and every citizen should be vigilant and committed to high standards of honesty & integrity at all timess and support the fight against corruption. He also urged upon the railwaymen to perform all tasks in an honest & transparent manner and to act in public interest and set themselves as an example by exhibiting integrity in personal behavior. Shri Rao also urged upon all to work together to eradicate corruption.
Apart from other celebrations as a part of observance of vigilance awareness week – 2017, there will be a Seminar on November 2, 2017 on “My vision – Corruption Free India” wherein eminent speakers of the related field will participate. The seminar will be followed by an interactive session. (EOIC)
