ER to run 12 more special trains for Puja & Chhat

Eastern Railway will run 12 more (6 pairs) Special trains to cater to the Puja rush of passengers and for Chhat festival. The Special trains will run in between October 7 to November 7, 2013, on their nominated days of run.

Two pairs of Special trains will run between Howrah and Jammu Tawai. One Pair will run between Howrah & Gorakhpur, one train from Kolkata to Muzaffarpur, one train from Muzaffarpur to Asansol, one pair between Bhagalpur & Gorakhpur and another pair between Bhagalpur & Patna. All these trains will have AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class accommodation.

It may be mentioned that Eastern Railway has already announced running of a total of one hundred and eighty four (184) Puja Special trains on Eastern Railway system generating additional 1,26,132 berths and additional 15,300  seats this year. These, Special trains will generate 10616 more berths and the total number of Special trains during festive season has reached to 196. (EOIC)
