GM of ER reviewed performance of Jamalpur workshop

General Manager (GM), Eastern Railway (ER),  Harindra Rao today reviewed the performance of Jamalpur Workshop in the presence of Ravinder Gupta, principal chief mechanical engineer, Eastern Railway,  A. K. Pandey, chief workshop manager, Jamalpur, other principal officers and officers of Jamalpur Workshop. The GM appreciated the progress and good work done by the workshop. Addressing the officers at the meeting,  Rao said that Jamalpur workshop was a unique one of Indian Railways that dealt with all types of rolling stock viz. locomotives, wagons, coaches, bogies, cranes, tower cars to name a few. He upheld the glory of the workshop in manufacturing as well as overhauling of rolling stocks & other manufacturing activities and advised all concerned to keep up the level of performance and achieve even better output. Rao thoroughly inspected various departments/units of the Workshop, viz. crane manufacturing, production engineering, wagon repairing, diesel loco, chemical & metallurgical lab etc. He also inaugurated  a renovated meeting room at the workshop premises and also flagged off a renovated diesel loco with new bogies from the Workshop.   The top official also visited the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering (IRIME), Jmalapur and addressed the probationers at IRIME.
