GM/ER visits Sealdah division

Ghanshyam Singh, General Manager, Eastern Railway inspected Lalgola–Krishnanagar section of Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division today. He inspected the Krishnapur station, Panel building, Booking office, TXR Office and inaugurated a Children Park in Krishnapur Railway Colony. He also visited Health Unit and inaugurated the renovated building of Health Unit and Running Room. After that GM conducted inspection at Lalgola station. He inspected the booking office and inaugurated TTE’s Rest Room there. GM/ER inspected Subarnamrigi station and a number of LC gates and spoken to Gangmen and Gatemen and enquired about the safety aspects at LC Gates. He also discussed with Station Masters at various stations and enquired about safety, passenger amenities etc.
Mr Singh also visited Murshidabad station where he inspected the Waiting Hall for Ladies & Gents, Circulating area and facia of the station building. GM also inspected Cossimbazar and inspected TRD Depot. At Berhampore Court station, GM inspected VIP Room and inaugurated Children’s Park, overhead water tank of the Railway colony. He also inspected Railway colony and interacted with the staff.
Later the General Manager conducted Speed Trial from Beldanga to Plassey and from Plassey to Bahadurpur at a speed of 100 kmph. During the inspection, GM/ER advised the concerned staff at various stations to take care of the passengers and amenities available for them. He warned all the safety category staff to be more careful on safety aspects in their respective fields as safety is the top priority in Railways’ agenda.
Safety, security and passenger amenities are ER’s priority, which must be achieved only with the dedicated efforts of ER’s workforce. He assured of all help & cooperation from the Headquarters to the Division for smooth functioning of the Division.
