27 Oct 2017

ISKCON Mayapur is geared up to celebrate Gopashtami on Saturday when over 6,000 devotees of different nationalities are expected to participate in the festivities. To mark the occasion, more than 300 cows, calves and bullocks have been decorated with with bands and garlands and they will be fed by the devotees, a ritual observed meticulously, claims a press note issued by the organisation. A highlight of the festivities is the opportunity the occasion provides for the 'darshan' of Srimati Radharani's lotus feet.
The organisation claims that by arranging Gopashtami, it carries forward its programme of enhancing care for cows by following the advice tendered by doctors and scientists. (EOIC)
