India-B'desh Army cycling expedition from March 22

Officers and members of Armies of India and Bangladesh will undertake a joint cycling expedition from March 22 to April 4.
The expedition will commence from Agartala and traverse through major cities in Bangladesh - Comilla, Dhaka, Faridpur and Jassore, before culminating in Kolkata. On the Indian side the expedition is being conducted under the aegis of HQ Eastern Command and would be flagged off by Lt Gen A S Bedi, GOC Gajraj Corps from Agartala on March 22.
The teams comprising 15 men from each side would cover about 500 km in 12 days. During the expedition the team will pay a visit to historical sites associated with the glorious Bangladesh war of liberation of 1971. Indian and Bangladesh armies conduct joint military exercise annually and introduction of joint adventure activities would enhance mutual understanding and cooperation.
