Metro Railway to strengthen security arrangements for Kali Puja, Deepawali

Metro Railway, Kolkata will strengthen its security arrangements from 17.10.2017 to 19.10.2017 on the occasion of Kali Puja/Deepawali  by deploying additional RPF personnel.  Special Security measures are being taken to avert any untoward incident during this period.
In addition to the above, the following measures have been taken.
*Special squad of all RPF posts will patrol at all Metro stations and premises.
*The entrance and exit of the tunnels at Dum Dum and Mahanayak Uttam Kumar will have more security.
*RPF Commandos will be deployed at all stations for the security of the commuters.
*The officers and staff deployed at Metro Stations will regulate passenger traffic in stations to avert any sudden surge of crowd which may build up a stampede like situation.
*It is to be ensured that any element of rumour/panic is not created.
*Frequent announcements through public address system will be made for not touching any unclaimed/unidentified articles and do’s & don’ts by passengers to avoid any untoward incident.
*Loud Hailers will also be used by the RPF, if necessary for assistance to the passengers.
*Dog squads will also be used during this period.
*Plain clothes RPF will move at stations and on trains
*Security control at Metro Rail Bhavan will monitor the passenger movement from 1st till the last service. (EOIC)
