Metro’s special initiative to prevent Dengue

9 Nov 2017

As Dengue is becoming a  menace in the city and claiming  lives almost every day, Metro Railway has been taking adequate measures for its prevention.
In every alternate week, adulticide and larvicide are sprayed regularly in the tunnels from Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Dum Dum to prevent breeding of such larvae, if any.
At Metro carsheds in Noapara and Kavi Subhash, as maintenance work is carried out round the clock, in addition to the regular spraying, fogging is also being done by outside agencies.
This exercise is also being followed in the office buildings, hospital and Metro quarter complex in the city as a preventive measure. (EOIC)
