OSML posts nine month turnover

Oudh Sugar Mills Ltd (OSML) posted a turnover of Rs 108235 lakh against Rs 83757 lakh of last FY in nine months of  FY 2016-17 in its Q3 results declared recently.
EBIDTA stood at Rs 23353 lakh up from Rs 3138 lakh in the last FY and cash profit stood at Rs 12416 lakh in comparison to Rs 3782 lakh in the corresponding period last year. PBT stood at Rs 13313 lakh against Rs 6842 lakh last FY and PAT Rs 7256 lakh against Rs 6842 lakh last year.
C S Nopany, director said, “Globally the sugar season 2016-17 has witnessed a fall in sugar production after continuous five years of surplus production, thereby correcting the imbalance in the demand and supply position. In India, production is likely to be significantly lower due to lower output in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
As a result, sugar prices firmed up both in domestic and international markets to reasonable levels and it is expected to remain steady in the subsequent quarters, he added. (EOIC)
