SER observes vigilance awareness week

Vigilance Department of South Eastern Railway observed ‘Vigilance Awareness Week”. In course of observance arranged various program like sit and draw and elocution competition at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Garden reach and Kharagpur Mixed Primary School, Vendors and Customers meet, seminar on ‘My Vision-Corruption Free India’. Eminent speakers spoke on the occasion. A skit was performed at Howrah Station, a vigilance quiz at Jadavpur University and on the closing day of the weeklong observance of the 'Vigilance Week 2017' organized a rally-'Walk to Stop Corruption' this morning to create an all-round awareness.
S N Agrawal, General Manager addressing a large gathering of Officers and Staff about the evils of corruption and said that corruption is a disease that spreads with depletion of our value system and in turn the morality. Jaya Verma Sinha, Senior Deputy General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer, South Eastern Railway spoke about how corruption kills a system and makes us through generations the victim of greed. Other Senior Officers and staff took part in the rally. (EOIC)
