TMCP factional clash rocks college in city

Charu Chandra College in southern part of the city today witnessed major clash between two factions of the Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad (TMCP). The clash took place at a time when the examination for Second Year of Graduation Course was going on. According to sources some of the students were assaulted during the violence which created panic at the college compound. General secretary of TMCP led students union accused Sayandeb Chattopadhyay, son of state power minister Sobhandeb Chatterjee of instigating the violence, but the later refuted the charge. The minister too denied any role of his son in the incident. (EOIC)
