State BJP president Dilip Ghosh today, while reiterating his call to the people to make the bandh successful, once again warned the state government of dire consequences if the state government used force to foil the strike.
Ghosh gave this warning during his speech at a public rally at Malda.
“I will be on streets on the day of strike. All leaders would be directly get on streets to enforce the strike. In Malda also a similar instruction to district party leaders has been issued,'' the BJP functionary said.
Reacting to the announcement of state education minister Partha Chatterjee that all possible actions woulds be taken to maintain normalcy on the day of bandh, Ghosh said, “It is a strike by the people, for the people and of the people. I cannot predict how citizens of the state would react if the state machinery aims at dissolving the strike.”
Blaming the Trinamool Congress run state government Ghosh said, “The strike was a decision under compulsion. We are against strike on principle but could not help convening a strike as innocent students were killed in presence of police. Total state administration has collapsed. The strike was our last resort.”
The state BJP president also alleged that the Chief Minister was trying to divert attention from the killing of students deliberately by passing confusing remarks.
“The end of Trinamool has begun. None can stop it. Trinamool Congress will soon be extinct in state as was the fate of CPM,” Dilip Ghosh said.
