Malda Club publishes Puja Guide

MLA, SP urge maintaining peace during festive days

With an eye to keep the festive days peaceful the superintendent of police Arnab Ghosh and MLA cum civic body chief of English Bazaar Nihar Ghosh urged the citizens to abide by the guidelines set by the district and police administrations in meeting with different organizations. The SP, Malda and English Bazaar MLA inaugurated ‘Puja Parikrama 2017’ published by 115-year old Malda Club on Tuesday on account of Mahalaya.
“Malda Club plays a crucial role in helping the people who get on the roads during the puja days. Their effort is indeed commendable. The civic body has already repaired the roads. I believe that with everyone’s cooperation the festive days would be full of happiness and peace,” Nihar Ghosh said.
Arnab Ghosh, SP, Malda and vice president of Malda Club urged the citizens to cooperate with police administrations and civic body of English Bazaar to enjoy the puja days. “Our police personnel would be on road round the clock to ensure your safety and security,” he said.
Former minister Krishnendu Choudhury, a senior official of Indian Oil Soumyaranjan Mullick and a member of club’s trustee Dulal Chakraborty were present in the programme also.
On behalf of the club, Anjan Pal, secretary said, “It has been our tradition to publish the puja guide to help people. The guide book would be circulated among the people.”
Suranjan Roy, publisher of the handy-directory said that along with crucial information the book also contained rich writings. The entire programme was conducted by Debapriya Saha.
