Grace of the Almighty was sought for safety and welfare of residents of Kerala and migrant labourers from Malda working there during the special prayer offered by women of minority community on occasion of Eid-ul-Azha today.
Hyderpur Muslim Mohila Janakalyan Samity arranged a mass prayer for women of the minority community on the religious occasion. The Muslim women after the prayer said that they joined the prayer with a heavy heart as a large number of people died owing to devastating flood in Kerala recently.
“Many youths from Malda are working in Kerala as migrant labourers. They got confined by the flood and hence could not return home to participate at religious festival. We prayed for their safety and welfare,''said Jahanara Bibi, one of the women, after the prayer.
The women members of the organization also contributed for the flood-victims of Kerala. The organization would hand over the fund to the district magistrate soon. (EOIPC)
