Nursing home ransacked after patient’s death

A private nursing home was ransacked by aggrieved relatives of a patient who allegedly died of medical negligence. Nursing home authorities, however, denied the allegation. Police had to rush to the spot to bring the situation under control.
The aggrieved mob alleged that Chandan Basak, a businessman was admitted to the nursing home with dengue symptoms. But the negligent treatment caused him death. The mob started ransacking the nursing home today.
Police had to rush to the spot and disperse the mob. However, police denied the allegation of lathi-charge. (EOIC)
