ZP Adhyaksh lays stones for rural projects at Mayabunder

The Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, North and Middle Andaman, Saw Tathu laid the foundation stones for a series of rural projects in the headquarters region of the district on Saturday. The Up-Adhyaksh, Chief Executive Officer, Executive Engineer of the Zilla Parishad, Assistant Director (Agriculture), Zilla Parishad, officials and local villagers were present on the occasions.
In his address, Saw Tathu expressed happiness over the foundation stone laying functions for the projects which promises development in the rural areas. “The Zilla Parishad, North and Middle Andaman in association with the district administration is committed for the welfare of the people here and best efforts are made to ensure optimal utilisation of government funds for the benefit of islanders,” he said asking officials of the Parishad to complete the projects within specified timelines.
Altogether foundation stones for eight rural projects were laid on Saturday which included construction of Open Shed at Kali Temple, Ward no. 1, Mayabunder, Open Shed Community Hall at Ward no. 7, construction of two Type-III quarters, addition and alteration of existing Zilla Parishad Niwas at Ward no. 2, construction of CC platform with seating facility at Pokadera, CC Platform with seating arrangement at the side of Neemtala road, Pokadera and near Fire Brigade Station and widening of CC footpath to Saw Andrew house at Webi-II.
