A large number of CTET qualified candidates who crossed age limit for the post of PST interacted with Mr Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands seeking age relaxation of 33 years for male and 38 years for female candidates. The MP immediately took up the matters with the Lt. Governor for consideration of age relaxation. The Member of Parliament also took up the matter to accept of the certificates issued by the private schools for applying to the post of PST whose certificate was denied to accept due to non-endorsement of countersign by the concerned DEO.
Since the last for applying to the post of PST was fixed on Aug 16 this year, Mr. Ray met the Chief Secretary, Mr Chetan Bhusan Sanghi on Monday and discussed the matter relating to age relaxation and acceptances of experience certificates issued by the private schools for the post of PST and appraised him about the problems being faced by the candidates on account of age bar etc.  The Chief Secretary informed the Member of Parliament that the last date for applying to the post of PST has been extended for further 15 days and relaxation of age limit will also be allowed. Besides, the certificates issued by the private schools will also be accepted by the education department so that the all eligible candidates can be applied within the extended time.
