1st round trng for Presiding & First Polling Officers held Personnel urged to discharge duty with utmost responsibility

The first round training for the Presiding Officers and the First Polling Officers was held at Dr. B R Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) auditorium here on Tuesday. The Presiding Officers and the First Polling Officers attended the training. The Nodal Officer, (Training), Mr Som Naidu through a power point presentation explained in detail the procedure and step-by-step action for collection of polling materials, conduct of poll, sealing procedure, checking of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). He urged for better co-ordination between Presiding Officers and the First Polling Officers to ensure free and fair poll observing all the guidelines of the Election Commission of India. It was also stressed that the Polling personnel are required to discharge their duties with full sense of responsibility, honesty and commitment.

The Nodal Officer (Training) also clarified doubts raised by the polling officials on the occasion. In the afternoon session, a movie on EVM training was shown which was followed by hands on training of EVMs. During the session, handling of EVMs was demonstrated by the master trainers to the personnel.
