4 more held for selling liquor in public

The South Andaman Police on Tuesday arrested four more persons for selling liquor without valid permit. At Bhatu Basti near Vegetable Market, the Pahargaon police arrested one Arun Mondal, 41 years, resident of Garacharma and seized three bottles of 750ml IMFL, two bottles of 375 ml IMFL and packaged drinking water from his possession. At Gandhi Market near Dhanalaxmi Hotel, the Aberdeen Police arrested one P Anbu, 45 years, resident of Dollygunj near Shiv Temple and two 750 ml bottles of IMFL, water bottle and plastic glasses from his possession. In another raid near Junglighat Sea Shore area, cops from the Central Crime Station arrested on C Rama Rao, 34 years, resident of Dairyfarm Fishermen Colony and seized two 750 ml bottle of IMFL, one 375 ml of IMFL from his possession. Again at Junglighat Sea Shore area, one Vikram Minj, 48 years, resident of Bargat Line was held for the same offence and one 750 ml, one 375 ml and one 180 ml bottle of IMFL was seized from his possession. All the accused have been booked under section 32 Reg III of 1876.
