ACCI delegation meets officials of Aceh, North Sumatera govt.

To enhance the connectivity between A&N Islands and provinces in Sumatra Island to promote trade, tourism and people to people contacts; facilitate B to B linkages between the Chamber of Commerce and the Indonesian companies a 10-member delegation of the Chamber visited and interacted with the Provincial Government of Aceh and North Sumatera on the potentials of co-operation between Aceh & North Sumatera and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.  A joint meeting with Ministry officials, Chamber of Aceh, Ambassador of India (Mr Pradeep Rawat), Consulate General  (Dr. Salia Shah) and some Indian investors in Indonesia was held on Sunday.
During the meeting the  Director General of Foreign Affairs mentioned that the Prime Minister of India talked to the President of Indonesia  about Tourism potential in Andaman.  It will give an opportunity for exploring business opportunities in Aceh and India.  The Aceh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Radhi Darmansyah, Vice Chairman, Micro Small Medium and Creative Economy was made a presentation on India – Indonesia Investment Forum.  The Director of Tourism Mr Amit Anand and the Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry made a presentation on the potential for Tourism and the scope of joint trade between India – Indonesia in the Investment forum.  The delegation also had a meeting with the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Foreign  Affairs at Governor House.  The  Mayor of Aceh was also present.
