AICC felicitates cyclist Esow Alben

The President, Pradesh Congress Committee, Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma in the presence of Mr Lucas Robert, Director of Sports (Retd.), A&N Administration, Mr K. Ganeshan, Chief Spokesperson, ANTCC, Mr V. Ranjith, General Secretary, A&N Cycling Association, family members of Master Esow and people from Nicobari community facilitated the champion cyclist Master Esow Alben at Bishop House on Sunday. He was presented a letter of appreciation written by Mr Rahul Gandhi, President, AICC. The AICC President through letter of appreciation congratulated Master Esow for his spectacular performance at UCI World Junior Cycling Championship 2018 held in Aigle, Switzerland and for creating history and making India proud by becoming the first Indian ever to win a medal at International Championship. Mr Rahul Gandhi wished Master Esow all success in future endeavours and hoped that the achievement of Master Esow will inspire young people across India and especially in Andaman and Nicobar Islands to take up Cycling. He also congratulated the Sports Authority of India and National Cycling Academy for their support to Master Esow Alben.
Mr Kuldeep at the occasion said that at the tender age of 17 years Master Esow has scripted the history in the sports of cycling  by  becoming world number one junior sprinter and also made our Island proud. He wished the young cyclist to achieve much more success and bring medal for India in Olympics. Mr Lucas Robert proposed the vote of thanks.
