ANCOL to prepare panel of Guest Lecturers

The Andaman College here proposes to prepare a panel of Guest Lecturers in the disciplines of English, Bengali, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, Music Hindustani (vocal), Commerce (CS), Commerce, Hindi, Economics, Environmental Studies, Physical Education and Library Science on as and when required basis for the academic year 2017-18.
The Guest Lecturers shall be paid honorarium at the rate of Rs 1000 per lecture subject to maximum Rs 25,000 per month or as per the instructions received from the competent authority as the case may be. The assignment is purely temporary depending on the requirement of teaching work in the concerned subjects.
Interested candidates have been asked to submit their applications along with Curriculum Vitae, self attested copies of testimonials and a copy of photograph to the Principal, ANCOL, Port Blair latest by August 7.  Verification of original certificates etc will be done on August 8 from 10 am for which candidates have been advised to remain present in the college with all original documents.
Candidates should possess good academic record with at least 55 percent marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F in the concerned subjects at the Master degree level from a recognised university or institute. Candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in the concerned subject for Lecturers/Assistant Professors conducted by the UGS, CSRI or similar test accredited by the UGC like State level Eligibility Test (SLET)/State Eligibility Test (SET) and NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility criteria for recruitment and appointment as Assistant Professor. However, candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D degree in accordance with University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of Ph.D Degree) Regulation 2009 and candidates who possess Master Degree programme in such disciplines for such NET/SLET/SET accredited test is not conducted, shall be exempted from the minimum eligibility criteria of NET/SLET/SET.
