Annual Geeta Gyana Yagna inaugurated

Annual Geeta Gyana Yagna organised by Chinmaya Mission Port Blair began at Mission Auditorium. Major General (Retd.) Mr. R. P. Chaubey, Director Andaman and Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical sciences was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Swami Chidrupanandjee Acharya Chinmaya Mission Noida is conducting the Yagna.
In his address, Dr. Chaubey said that Bhagwat Geeta’s message is very relevant for whole world. Geeta narrated by Lord Krishna to Arjuna in Battlefield of Kurukshetra is not a only religious text, but it has a powerful message of performing our action with perfection, without much expectation. He recalled his association with Poojya Swami Chinmayananadaee , when he was posted in Yol Cantonment in Kangra District.
Speaking on this occasion Swami Chidrupanandajee said that purification of mind is very essential for Meditation and as a human being we cannot run away from action, but all our actions should be surrendered to God. Swamijee said always running after the desires crests more complications in our life, therefore we have to reduce the desire and expectation to become happy in our life.
Earlier, the resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission, Port Blair Swami Shuddhananda Saraswati briefed the audience about the activities of the Mission. President of the Mission Mr. Surendra Prahldka gave the welcome speech, while Mr. Manohar Singh proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Durg Vijay Singh presented  a Bhajan. Mr. V. Subbaraj and Mr. R. Raghunath coordinated the whole programme. Swamijee will be speaking on 6th Chapter of Bhagwat Geeta from 6 to 7.30 PM, while morning Pravachan  will be held from 7 to 8 am. The yagna will continue till 16th December, 2017.
