Ms. Sampa Banerjee, president Dayitavabodh (NGO) has drawn the attention of the Director of Education towards the problem that the lady teachers are facing in relation to Child Care Leave. With the thought that children are the backbone of our society and with proper education they are the future of our country, the Government of India started CCL for working women, so that working women can stay with and guide their children during their growing period. A working lady may avail CCL from 30days to 2 years whenever needs but the teachers under Education Department are suffering a lot as they are not getting CCL more than 30 days at a time, which may is frustrating lady teachers. She also states that not only Government school teachers are suffering but also Govt. aided schools particularly Nirmala school teachers are not been granted CCL, some whose children are appearing for Board Exams. Therefore most of them are forced to avail leave without salary. She has requested for looking into the matter personally and to take suitable steps for the benefit of working women as well as the children and students of our Islands.
