Arunoudaya observes No Tobacco Day

World No Tobacco day was observed by Arunoudaya (Wellness cum One Stop Centre) at Angan Wadi Centre-1 Prem Nager on Wednesday.
Smti. Lipika Mondal, ANM(DHS) Arunoudaya  has delivered session on the high risk factor associated with in-voluntary effect of smoking. Meanwhile the minimizing/quitting method of tobacco consumption among the nature of addictive user also been demonstrated.
Signs and symptoms of the oral cancer along with the information on health benefit of quitting to tobacco has been imparted. All together 48 participants has been benefitted on this event through Arunoudaya Centre. A mass rally was also conducted in collaboration with Gayathri Chetna Parivar from Radhakrisha Temple (Junglighat) to Tiranga Park at Aberdeen Bazar. The rally was flagged by Smti. Jantra Panth (CDPO) and Mr A K Biswas (PO/JH), Directorate of Social Welfare.
Earlier, the team explained the importance of the day. To create awareness among the general public the following title has been briefed as overview of Tobacco, Types of tobacco, ill effects of Tobacco, impact of tobacco among children to protect them from smoke breath.
