C/Bay AC vows support to tribal students of Chingan Basti

The Assistant Commissioner Campbell Bay, Dr Mohd. Rehan Raza visited a tribal village, Chingan Basti along with Mr Barnabas, Chairman, Tribal Council on Wednesday. During the visit Dr Rehan met the captain of Chingan Basti, Mr Kimose and freely interacted with the residents and children . He addressed the issues of the tribal’s and made efforts for its possible solutions and redressal of grievances. The AC inspected the primary school functioning at the Chingan Basti where 13 students are presently studying having two teachers. During a free interaction with children it was observed that the tribal children are highly talented, gifted and very creative.
Dr Rehan also met Mr John who is the first SHOMPEN to pass class X exam and is presently pursuing his studies at GSSS, Vijay Nagar and has appeared for class XI exams and motivated him to pursue further studies and become a role model for all children. On behalf of District Administration Dr. Rehan assured his full support to the tribal students and residents of Chingan village.They will be provided with volleyball and football kits through their captain and chairman tribal council so that they can engage themselves in sports activities regularly, a release from Dr. Mohd. Rehan Raza, Assistant Commissioner & SDM, Campbell Bay said.
The Chingan village is situated at 6.5 KMs from Zero Point, Campbell Bay. Presently the Administration through APWD is constructing a link road measuring 850 mtrs in length which will be completed by next year.
