Celebration of Independence Day in Middle Andaman

The 72nd Independence Day has been celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Rangat area on Wednesday. The main function was held at Mini Stadium, Rangat where Mr Piyush Rohankar, Assistant Commissioner, Middle Andaman, Rangat hoisted the national flag. In his address, he briefed about the developmental projects executed by various government departments. He also visited the CHC, Rangat and interacted with the inpatients and also distributed fruits & sweets to the inpatients.
In the evening, the Assistant Commissioner attended the At Home function in the Panchayat Samiti Hall at Rangat. A cultural programme was organized in the Zilla Parishad Auditorium in coordination with the DEO, Rangat in which students of various Govt. schools & private schools have performed. Prizes to the participants of various cultural programmes held on the occasion of Independence Day were also distributed. The day long programme was ended with grand success.      
Independence Day was celebrated at in the premises of GSS School, Kadamtala in which Smt. Swapna Mondal, Up-Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, N & M Andaman hoisted the tricolor and briefed the development of every department in her speech. Independence Day was also celebrated at Forest ground, Nilambur during which Shri A. C. Thilak, Divisional Forest Officer, Baratang hoisted the national flag and briefed the development of all departments.
