CG rescues adrift MV Sindhu Sagar off Shoal Bay

Indian Coast Guard rescued a motorised Dinghy ‘Sindhu Sagar’ in distress along with three crew members off Shoal Bay, Baratang on Sunday. MV ‘Sinduhu Sagar’ with three crew members onboard sailed from Mayabunder on November  11 for Port Blair and her engine failed off Shoal Bay, Baratang. Crew could not rectify the defect  and subsequently the Dinghy master requested Coast Guard for rescue.
On receipt of information, the Coast Guard Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre activated search grid and diverted Coast Guard Ship C-146 on patrol in area to render necessary assistance. Coast Guard ship C-146 located the Dinghy in extensive search and successfully towed the Dinghy to Port Blair and handed over to fellow fisherman.
