CIP by Coast Guard at Dugnabad

A community interaction programme was organized by Indian Coast Guard at Dugnabad to create awareness on safety practices whilst out at sea during monsoon and to connect local fishing populace with the coastal security construct. The importance of toll free No.(1554) in case of distress at sea, usage of DATs and techniques for survival were also demonstrated. Fishermen were sensitized that they are the first line of information for security issues at sea and act as  “EYES AND EARS” at sea. A medical lecture on first aid and survival at sea was also organised on this occasion for benefit of all. The event was attended by local fishermen and representatives from fisheries department. The fishermen community of Dugnabad appreciated the efforts of Indian Coast Guard for conduct of informative and educative programme for their benefit.
