CISC reviews operational requirements of ANC

The Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC), Lt Gen Satish Dua is now on a four-day visit to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. He arrived here on March 19. He is accompanied by Mrs Aradhana Dua, president Defence Wives Welfare Association (Integrated Defence Staff). During the visit to the Andaman & Nicobar Command, where he called on Vice Admiral Bimal Verma, Commander-in-Chief; the General Officer was briefed on operational and infrastructure requirements of the Command. He was also briefed at INS Kardip and Air Force Station Carnic during his visit to Carnicobar and Kamorta Islands.
Lt Gen Satish Dua took over as CISC on 31 October last year. Commissioned into infantry, the General Officer has extensively served in active local conflict/terrorist infested areas in his distinguished professional career, which includes the distinction of raising a Counter- Terrorism Force of Assam Rifles in the North East and orchestrating some of the most successful counter terrorism operations in the history of the Indian Armed Forces.
