There is another pleasant surprise in store for the entertainment-famished islanders of the city and its suburbs. Construction of another Multiplex at School Line is in the final stages of completion. Anand Paradise, which once was the hub of entertainment for several years, will start operations from a renovated complex with the state of the art equipment and infrastructure to provide audience a better and luxurious viewing comfort.
According to information, construction of the Anand Paradise Cineplex is expected to be complete in the next 30 days. The theatre is expected to screen three latest  Bollywood movie releases on a daily basis. Prices of the tickets are also expected to be reasonable. The proprietor of the Cineplex is in the process of obtaining necessary approvals from the competent authorities after which the Cinema Hall will start hosting its guest. The second Multiplex of the city is likely to give stiff competition to Divyum Talkies, which has registered brisk business with almost daily houseful shows since its launch in 2012.
Ever since the closure of a number of cinema halls in Port Blair including the Light House Cinema, Swapna Theatre, Mount Batten Cinema, necessity of cinema halls was strongly felt by the local population who have been without this vital source of entertainment for almost a decade.  With nowhere to go, the youths were compelled to turn to numerous bars that dot the city and its suburbs
