Competitions on “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign

Two competitions marking the national wide Shramdaan and cleanliness campaign started by Port Blair Municipal Council from   September 15 to October 2, with the theme of “Swachhata Hi Seva” has been announced by the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands.
The Logo making competition on Swachh Bharat, Swachh Port Blair open to all category is aimed at encouraging public participation in the initiative of Swachh Bharat mission. The Municipal Council has invited participation by general public in designing a new Logo which shall depicting the theme of “Swachh Bharat, Swachh Port Blair”. The winner of the contest will be awarded cash purse of Rs 10,000 and the last date for submission of entries in Sept 30, 2017 by 5 pm.
The second contest on Swachh Parishar, Swachh Port Blair will be open to all 24 Wards of the Municipal Council. The contest is aimed at sensitizing general public to realise their own social responsibility towards maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of their surroundings a competition among the wards will be the key factors in which the marking will be given on basis of clean roads, foot paths, drains, dustbins, shops, markets, households as well as other public places in a leadership of concerned ward Councillors. Best Entries will be awarded.
