Coop. Bank inaugurates 27th ATM at Namunaghar

The Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank inaugurated its 27th ATM facility at Namunaghar on Monday. Mr V Jagadeesan, ITS, Chief General Manager, BSNL was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme was also attended by Mr Bhagat  Singh, Chairman, Mohd. Shafique, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat  Mithakhari, Smt. Preethima Kumari, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Namunaghar, PRI Members, Govt. Officials, SHG members, senior citizens, customers, staff members and a large gathering of local  residents of the area. Mr V Jagadeesan, ITS, Chief General Manager, BSNL  unveiled the plaque and inaugurated the ATM facility by cutting the  ribbon. In his address, Mr V Jagadeesan appreciated the efforts of  Andaman & Nicobar State  Cooperative Bank Ltd to start Islands 1st Solar ATM at JNRM for  Environmental-friendly work, which is a very noble cause
Mr Bhagat Singh informed that the A & N State Cooperative Bank Ltd has received the Best overall Performance Award in the Country for the year 2015-16 from  National Federation of State Cooperative Banks recently and another two Awards at the 37th Foundation Day of NABARD for Port Blair and Diglipur branch for SHG promotions and credit linkages. The Chairman further informed that the bank is rendering services to the remotest part of the Island. He also requested and advised the general public to be cautious with their ATM card details like PIN No. and urged not to reveal their details to anyone over telephonic calls. Mohd. Shafique, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Mithakhari appreciated  the efforts of the Management and Staffs of the bank in the  introduction of new ATM services. He further requested the Management  of the bank for opening of a Full Fledged branch at Namunaghar  junction for the benefit of the local residents of the area.  Smt. Preethima Kumari, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Namunaghar also spoke  on the occasion by congratulating the Management of the bank in  bringing the ATM services for the people of the area. She also  requested the Management of the bank for opening of a Full Fledged  branch at Namunaghar junction.
Earlier welcoming the gathering, Mr Anjan Sengupta, Managing Director (i/c) informed that with the inauguration of this ATM, the bank has added its 27th ATM for the benefits of General Public and  customers of the area. He further highlighted that the Cooperative  Bank is rendering its services with its 41 branches to the remotest  corners of these Islands and touching the lives of over 2,50,000  customers with a business turnover of Rs. 1500 Crores. He also urged  all the general public to come forward and avail ATM services and open  Saving Bank Account in Zero balance and get into banking fold.
