Coop leadership dev training underway at Mithakhari

A three-day Cooperative Leadership Development Training for the primary cooperatives supported by National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE), New Delhi organized by Rajiv Gandhi Cooperative Training Centre of &N State Cooperative Union, Teylerabad got underway on Thursday at Mithakhari Panchayat Hall South Andaman. Mr Safeeque, Pradhan Mithakhari Gram Panchayat inaugurated the training. Altogether, 35 participants of different primary cooperatives particularly youth cooperatives are attending the training.
In his address, Mr Safeeque appreciated the RGCTC for choosing Mithakhari Panchayat  for conducting the programme. He said there are 34 construction cooperative societies promoted by the youth have been enlisted in Mithakhari Gram Panchayat for awarding construction work of Panchayat. “By undertaking some civil construction work, to some extent, youth have found their employment. The A&N State Cooperative Union should enlist these cooperatives in APWD so that they may get more work in future,” he said calling upon participants to avail benefits from the training programme.
Welcoming the gathering, Mr Anant Rao, General Secretary, A&N State Cooperative Union stressed on the importance of cooperatives and the role being played by the youth in cooperative movement. The inaugural function concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Ranjitha, faculty, RGCTC.
During the technical sessions, Mr Suresh Babu, Principal RGCTC imparted classes on cooperation, cooperative business enterprise and business ethics in Cooperatives followed by the class by Mr Meese Khalique, ANSCB on Leadership Effectiveness in Cooperatives. The programe will conclude tomorrow.
